Teens Prayer for May 29th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I am tired of being the strong one in my friend group. I do not even know if I have been strong or just holding my breath. Even Jesus needed the Father's strength to keep going. Pour something into me, too. Let me exhale. Send someone this week who can hold a little of what I have been carrying — not because my friends are not real, but because they are the ones I am trying to be strong for. Restore me by letting me be honestly weak in front of someone I trust. Help me eat. Help me sleep. Quiet the need to always be useful. Give me the strength to keep going. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
