Teens Prayer for May 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, my friend is going through something that nobody should have to go through, and I do not know what to say. Your Word shows me there is room at the table for people who cannot walk easily. I do not have to fix my friend. I have to sit with them. The fear of saying the wrong thing has kept me silent for a week. Stop the silence. I will send the message tonight. I will not pretend I know what they are going through. I will just say, "I am here, I am not going anywhere, I am sorry." After that, I show up when they ask. I leave them alone when they ask. And I do not disappear. Keep me steady. Help me just be there. Amen.
