Teens Prayer for May 26th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, today was longer than the calendar made it look. I am in bed. My phone is in the kitchen for once. You promised in Psalm 55:22 to hold me up and keep me steady when I bring my worries to You. So tonight I am giving You this one: I am worried that my friend is mad at me. I have not asked her. I have just been guessing. Tomorrow I will ask her plainly and let the real answer take the place of all the ones I made up. Today I was kind to the cashier at the store. But on the way home, I was not kind to my own family, and that is backward. Forgive what was wrong. Receive what was good. Help me say sorry to my mom in the morning, short and simple, without making it a big show. Quiet me into sleep without one more lap. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.

Verses to pray

Pray these slowly, one line at a time. Scripture quoted from a public-domain translation.

  1. The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she obtained favor and kindness in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown on her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
