Teens Prayer for May 20th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I have been sitting here five minutes, and my brain has already been to my locker, to practice tonight, and to the snack drawer. You are kind in ways I cannot even take in. And the biggest fight in this room is not someone else — it is my own scattered mind. Quiet me. I do not need a quiet brain to be loved by You. I just need to keep showing up to this chair, even when my thoughts are everywhere. Romans 8 says Your Spirit prays for me when I cannot find the words. Let Him carry what I cannot say tonight. Tomorrow, same chair, five minutes, same scrambled attention. This relationship does not stay alive because I perform well. Christ holds it. I just keep showing up. Amen.
