Teens Prayer for May 13th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, an old friend just reached out to me again. I have been making them wait on purpose because I want them to feel even a little of what they made me feel. But Psalm 119:57 says You are my portion, Lord. You are the part of life that is mine. If that is true, I do not have to make someone say sorry before I can be okay. I can let go of the score. Take my plan to wait them out. I will text back tomorrow. I will not be dramatic. I will not pretend that nothing happened. I will say one short, honest sentence and see what they do with it. They might be a real friend again. They might not. Either way, I do not need them to be miserable so I can be okay. Keeping my warmth from someone on purpose is a sin I keep calling wisdom. It is not wisdom. Help me drop it. Amen.
