Teens Prayer for April 27th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, there is one decision I keep putting off, and the putting off has become its own dread. Even the ground gives its harvest at the right time, not on demand. I have been trying to demand certainty from You. Stop me. The decision will probably not get clearer if I wait another week. The next true step is small: write down the two real options, talk to one trustworthy adult about it, then choose with You, with the limited light I have, and live forward into it. You are going wherever I am going. The fear of choosing wrong is not the same as choosing wrong. Strengthen me into the next ordinary step. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
