Teens Prayer for April 25th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Song of Solomon says, 'Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.' I do not feel summoned this morning. The day still looks the same — chem class, the friend who has been quiet, dinner with the new neighbors. Receive me before any of it begins. Help me be the same person all the way through. Help me speak kindly to the people in my house. Help me listen instead of waiting to talk. Help me ask one real question to the quiet friend. None of this is big or brave. It is just keeping You in the day, not just in the morning. I give You this day with open hands.

Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
