Teens Prayer for April 18th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, my friends and I rank each other all the time. Smartest. Funniest. Best looking. Most likely to win. I do it too. I don't want to spend high school competing with people I actually love. Take the ranking out of my head. Help me notice when the comparing starts and stop it before it grows. Make me smaller in the running and steadier on the floor. Being known by You is not the same as winning anything. It is just being seen by the One who saw me first. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
