Teens Prayer for March 28th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I am afraid of being known. Really known. I am afraid someone who knows me well enough will look at me and be disappointed. Your Word says Your love for me is so big I cannot even fully understand it. That love does not depend on the version of me I try to show. Help me believe that.
Tomorrow I have the talk with my parent that I have been putting off. I will not say everything right. They will not be at their most patient. It will probably not go the way I have practiced in my head. But that does not mean the relationship is broken.
Move me into the kitchen. Push me into the first sentence. After that, walk with me through every word that follows. You will not be a stranger to either of us, no matter what gets said.
Steady me. The next step is small. The love behind it is not.
Amen.
