Teens Prayer for March 20th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, there is a heaviness in my chest today that will not lift. But Your Word says my Beloved is coming, leaping over mountains, skipping over hills. That means You are moving toward me even when I cannot yet see You. Hold me to that. Today is not the end of the season. This mood is not the whole story. There is something coming I cannot see, and there is Someone with me right now, even while I wait. Help me not to hate the waiting. Tomorrow morning, the simple things are still there: sleep, food, school, the friends I love. Give me the strength to do them. Steady my next ordinary step. The hills are not empty. You are coming over them. Amen.
