Teens Prayer for March 15th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I have been treating my faith like a Sunday clothing change. Your Word says to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. That means grace is not just for the building. It is for the whole week.

The days between Sundays have been mostly me on autopilot. I do not want to become someone totally new. I just want small turns.

Tonight, help me read one chapter of the gospel I keep starting and quitting. Tomorrow, give me one quiet moment in the morning to pray for the day before it starts. This week, help me leave church without switching right back to whoever I was on Saturday night.

Take the part of me that splits my life into boxes. Help me be one person, with You inside every day, not just Sunday. Receive me back.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
