Teens Prayer for March 14th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, a kid at school keeps making jokes about how I look. I have been planning how to embarrass them back. Psalm 39:1 says to guard my mouth, so I do not sin. Bridle me. The clever line I have been writing in my head would feel good for about three seconds and then make me one more cruel person in a hallway full of them. Take it. I do not have to like them. I have to refuse to become them. Today I will not say the thing I have rehearsed. If they come at me again, I will be quiet or say something true and short. I will not stockpile material for revenge. Amen.
