Teens Prayer for March 10th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I am sad. I am not in a crisis. I am just slow and gray and not very interested in anything. I would settle for one good day in a row. Hold the long view for me. This week is not the rest of my life. This mood is not my identity. There is a version of me down the road who looks back and barely remembers what I am sitting in tonight. Carry me toward her. Today, keep doing the small acts of obedience. Shower. Eat. Do the one assignment. Be civil at dinner. None of that fixes the mood. All of it adds up to a life that keeps moving when the mood is broken. Steady my next step. You are not far. Amen.
