Teens Prayer for March 4th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I owe a teacher a real apology. I have been pretending that what happened in class never happened. You said Your grace is enough, and Your strength shows up when I am weak. I am weak about this. I keep finding reasons to put it off. Send me into that classroom tomorrow before the bell. Help me say one straight sentence: "I am sorry for how I spoke to You the other day." That is it. Do not let me add a bunch of reasons. Do not let me explain why they should be sorry too. Just the sentence, and then I will take whatever comes. After that, I am free from carrying this around. You forgive me. Now help me go fix what I broke. I am scared, but Your grace is enough for this. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
Verses to pray
Pray these slowly, one line at a time. Scripture quoted from a public-domain translation.
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
