Teens Prayer for March 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, there is a hard thing I need to do for someone, and I do not want to do it. You said You chose me in the hard times, not just the easy ones. Today, the hard thing is small. It is just being uncomfortable. It is doing the boring kind thing when I could do the fun selfish thing instead. Help me choose the kind thing. I cannot make myself care. But I can show up when I said I would. I can carry what I said I would carry. I can sit through the conversation I said I would sit through. The doing is what counts. Take away the pushback inside me. Push me through to just doing it. The good feelings might come later. They might not. But You will not love me less either way. Help me move. Amen.
