Teens Prayer for February 24th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I keep failing in the same way. Different week, same trap, same shame. I'm not asking for some big blessing right now. I'm asking for the turn. The same turn I asked for last month. The same turn I'll probably need to ask for next month. Make it real this time, not just something I say and don't do.

Tonight: I delete the thing I keep going back to. Tomorrow: I will tell the one safe person what I have been hiding. This week: I stop pretending the relapse is just a glitch.

Move me. That's what I need. Not just heavy regret — actual movement. You do not get tired of receiving me back. Help me match that, just for tonight, by not giving up on the long, slow turn toward You.

Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
