Teens Prayer for February 21st
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, I am not the person my friends think I am, and I am tired of the gap. You said You would never leave me or give up on me. That promise is for the real me, not the fake version I keep showing. I have been editing myself for as long as I can remember. The funny one with one group. The serious one with another. The agreeable one with adults. None of them is exactly me. You have not been fooled by any of the acts. You have not given up on the real person underneath all of it. Make me whole instead of just agreeable. Help me say one true, unedited sentence to a friend this week. Help me let someone see a little bit of the real me. Start small. Becoming honest is slow work, and You are patient with the slow. Amen.
