Teens Prayer for February 16th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, today happened mostly fine. Your Word says You have learned to be content in every situation, and I am not there yet. I am just tired enough that I am not complaining, so I will count that as a starting point. Today I was unkind to someone I had no reason to be unkind to, and I have been pretending it did not matter. It mattered. Forgive me for that. Today also included an unexpected mercy: somebody saved me a seat at lunch without saying anything about it. Thank You for that. There is a stack of things I did not finish — emails, the assignment, a hard text I owe — that I do not want to look at right now. Hold those for tonight. I will face them tomorrow with more rest. Quiet me into sleep. I do not need another round of trying to fix myself. The day is closed.
Amen.
