Teens Prayer for February 6th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, today I wasted hours I said I would use better. You told us to pray all the time, and I barely prayed at all. So here is the truth. The homework is still not done. The friend I owe a reply still has not gotten one. At dinner I felt my mom watching me and I looked away. None of it is the end of the world. But it all adds up. Forgive what was wrong. Forgive the small things I let slide. And thank You for the moment I stayed off my phone at dinner. It surprised both of us. Do not let me obsess over what went wrong. Help me close my eyes tonight without grabbing the screen again. Tomorrow I will be tired, but Your grace will be big.

Amen.
