Teens Prayer for February 3rd
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, a coach said something cutting to me last week. I have replayed it about two hundred times since. It still stings, and I am not pretending it does not. But Romans 8:12 says I do not have to live under that weight. So I am asking You to take the loop out of my head. I will keep showing up to practice. I will not rebuild my whole life around proving him wrong. I will not turn bitter at the sport I love. Help me show him basic respect at practice. He may have had a bad day. I do not know what he is carrying. I will not use what I do know against him. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
