Teens Prayer for February 1st

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says great is Your glory and Your people sing in Your ways. I do not feel like singing today. My test schedule is already running in my head before I even get out of bed. Slow that down. Push pause on the rush for two minutes and let me get oriented before I sprint. Today I want to be present at the breakfast table. I want to answer my parents in a real voice instead of a mumble. I want to do my first class with my actual brain, not the leftover one from last night's scrolling. Make me faithful in the small, ordinary kindnesses that no one sees. Give me back this day before the day takes me.

Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
