Teens Prayer for January 20th

A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I cannot tell anymore if I am tired or sad. Maybe both. The little tasks feel like a wall I have to climb every morning. Please remember I am young and still learning how to carry it. I want to skip ahead to the part where everything makes sense. Instead, let me do today. Help me show up for the boring parts. Sit through class. Eat. Be kind to the person at the locker next to me. Let me notice one small good thing — the sound of rain, the song that came on at just the right second, something ordinary that still feels like a gift. None of that fixes everything. But it reminds me there is a world past this mood. Carry me into tomorrow, even when I do not know what tomorrow will feel like. Amen.
