Teens Prayer for January 16th
A short, Scripture-shaped teens prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord, before this day really starts — two tests, a hard conversation, and everything on the schedule — I want to give You the morning. It is messy, and I am not put together, but it’s Yours.
Isaiah 41:14 says, "Fear not, You worm Jacob." That is brutal and kind at the same time. I am small. But You are not embarrassed by my smallness. So small me will walk into today, and You will help.
Take the fake version of today — where I am cooler and smarter than I really am — and throw it away. Walk with me through the real one instead.
Help me be kind to the people in my house, even the ones who get on my nerves before 8 a.m. Help me look up in the first period instead of zoning out the whole class. Help me notice if a friend is having a hard day.
I am not the main character. You are. Let me play a small but faithful part in what You are doing today.
Amen.
