The Two Beasts Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, open my eyes to the patterns of this world. Revelation 13 shows two beasts — political power and false religion — joining together to demand what belongs only to You. That same spirit is still at work. It may not wear horns or crowns, but it still asks for total loyalty. It wants my thoughts and my actions, my hand and my mind, all for itself and not for Christ. I refuse that claim. Make me a wise citizen of this world — not paranoid, not cynical, but awake. Keep me loyal to Jesus alone. Let me follow the Lamb who was slain, not the beast that demands worship. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
