Road To Emmaus Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus,
Two of Your followers walked home that Sunday, sad and confused. You came alongside them on the road. They did not know it was You. You listened. You asked questions. You opened the Scriptures, and their hearts burned within them.
Only when You broke the bread did they see who You were.
You did not rush in with loud words. You walked with them. You were gentle.
Make me like that. Send me to walk with people on their hard roads. Help me listen first. Help me point to You in quiet ways.
Open my heart so it burns again when I hear Your Word.
Amen.

- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
