Rich Young Ruler Prayer

A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord Jesus,

You looked at him and loved him. Then You named the one thing.

You loved him before You asked the hard thing. His stuff was in the way.You saw it, and You spoke.

Look at me with that same love.Name the one thing in my life that should not be there.Show me what is standing between me and Your kingdom.

With people, this is impossible. With You, all things are possible.Do in me what I cannot do on my own.

Help me let go of what I need to release.Help me follow You without walking away sad.

Amen.
