Return From Exile Prayer

A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You are the God who brings people home.

When You restore what was lost, it feels like a dream. We can hardly believe it is happening. Our mouths fill with laughter. Our hearts cry out with joy.

You bring the wandering child back. You return faith after years of cold. You restore friendship after a long silence. These homecomings startle us. They are too good to be true — and yet they are.

You promised that those who sow with tears will reap with shouts of joy. That promise is real. The harvest is real.

Keep bringing Your people home. There is always more to restore. There is always more joy ahead.

Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
