Plagues Of Egypt Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, the plagues in Exodus are hard to read. The Nile turned to blood. Frogs, gnats, flies, sick animals, boils, hail, locusts, darkness. And then the final plague broke Pharaoh's will. Each one showed that the gods of Egypt were not real. Each one was a contest of power, and You won. Father, the judgment was real. The suffering was real. And still, You warned again and again before each plague. You gave Pharaoh chances to change his mind. The plagues were not mean. They were a message. Make me pay attention when You warn leaders today. Some of the hard things happening now may be warnings, calling those in power to turn before it gets worse. Spare us the worst. Soften hard hearts before it is too late. Amen.
