Philip And The Ethiopian Eunuch Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, teach me from the story of Philip and the eunuch. Philip ran up and asked a simple question. The man was already reading Your Word, but did not understand it. So Philip helped him see Jesus in that very Scripture, and the man believed and was baptized right there by the road.
Make me a Philip with the people You put in my path. Some are already reading. They just need someone to help them understand. Give me the courage to go where You send me. Help me start where the person already is, not with a long speech, but with a kind question.
The right question opens more doors than the right words. Send me, Lord, and give me the right questions.
Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
