Ordination Of Priests Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You take the calling to serve You seriously. You always have. In the Old Testament, Aaron and his sons were set apart with washing, with special clothes, with oil, and with blood. Each step pointed forward to Jesus, our great Priest. He did not need to be washed from sin. He was clothed in His own goodness. He was filled with Your Spirit without limit. And His blood was the one sacrifice that paid for sin forever. Father, being set apart for Your work is not a small thing. It is heavy. It is holy. It can be lonely. Bless those who are being set apart for ministry right now. Bless those who have served for many years and feel the weight of it. Remind them that the calling is Yours, not theirs. The power is Your Spirit, not their own strength. The forgiveness is Christ's blood, not something they earned. Walk with them, Lord. Walk them faithfully through the work You have given them. Amen.
