Noah’s Ark And The Flood Prayer

A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You chose Noah when the whole world had turned away from You. He built the ark for over a hundred years, and his neighbors must have thought he was foolish. But he kept obeying You. Lord, the ark shows Your grace. The flood was real, but You offered safety before it came. Those inside were saved by Your door, not by anything they had done. Make me like Noah in my own time. Help me obey You even when it looks foolish to others. Help me keep going when no one else sees the point. You made a covenant after the flood, and the rainbow is still Your promise to me. Hold me through every flood in my life, safe in the ark of Christ. Amen.

How to pray it

  1. Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
