Judass Betrayal Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, one of Your own friends betrayed You. Judas walked with You, ate with You, and saw Your healing. Then he sold You for thirty pieces of silver. The price was small. The betrayal was huge.
Father, I see the same thing in me. I trade You for small things too. A moment of being liked. A little comfort. An easy way out when faithfulness is hard. I choose what feels good now over what is right before You.
The kiss in the garden is an awful picture of it—the closest sign of love used as the signal of betrayal. Save me from that kiss. Save me from using my closeness to You as a cover for what is really selfish.
Make my nearness to You real. Not a show. Not a deal. Just true.
Amen.
