Healing Of The Centurion’s Servant Prayer
A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, the centurion said, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. Just say the word and my servant will be healed.
He understood authority. He knew You could heal from far away, just like a commander gives orders and they are carried out. You marveled at his faith.
Lord, I am not worthy either. My house is messy. My life is not put together. But You do not wait for me to be ready. Your word is enough.
Speak the word.
Heal the sick people I love. Mend broken relationships. Bring home the ones who have wandered. You do not need me to deserve it. Your authority does not depend on my worthiness.
Just say the word.
Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
