Call Of Abraham Prayer

A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You told Abraham to leave his country, his family, and his father's home and go to the land You would show him. You did not give him a map. You did not tell him how long it would take. You just said go. And Abraham went. He was seventy-five years old. Most people his age were done making big changes. But he obeyed You, even though he did not know where he was going. Father, make me like Abraham. Give me the courage to leave what is familiar just because You say so. Give me trust that You will show me the next step when it is time. Give me patience to walk for years without seeing the whole plan. You commended Abraham for obeying without knowing the destination. Form that same obedience in me. When You call, let me move. Amen.
