Birth Of Moses Prayer

A short, Scripture-shaped bible story prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Pharaoh had ordered the death of every Hebrew baby boy. Moses' mother hid him for three months. When she could hide him no longer, she put him in a basket made of reeds and placed it by the river. She trusted You with her child. Father, the one who would deliver Israel, began his life in a basket because his mother had the faith to let him go. Bless the mothers in our day who have had to let children go for their safety. Watch over the babies they have placed in unsafe places because no safe places were available. The God who watched over Moses watches over them. Amen.
