New Mothers Prayer for December 16th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, You said, Come to Me, all who are tired and carrying heavy loads, and I will give You rest. That invitation is still open. It has not gone away. I have acted like it did, like I missed my chance. But it is still here. Come to Me. Today. With the laundry undone and the baby fussing and the prayer only half-finished. Even in the quiet moment when the baby finally falls asleep, the house goes still. I do not have to clean myself up first. I just have to come. The coming is mine to do. The rest is Yours. Let me come as I am. Amen.
