New Mothers Prayer for December 8th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, You said there are a few people who have kept their garments clean. I want to be one of them. Not by hiding from the world, but by staying close to You in it. In the kitchen. At the doctor's office. At the playgroup. Around the in-laws. They all have small pressures to give in. Help me with the small choices. The truthful word instead of the white lie. The plain answer instead of the polished one. The patience instead of the snap. Keep my garment clean as I walk through the city. Not by my strength, but by Yours. Amen.
