New Mothers Prayer for December 5th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Lord Jesus, in Matthew 7 You said, Ask, and it will be given to me. I keep making it harder than that. I hold back. I think my needs are too small or too many. But You did not say, ask perfectly. You said, “Ask.” So I will ask plainly. Give me sleep tonight. Give me patience with my husband. Make this afternoon calmer. Be near my friend in her marriage. Please clear the baby's stuffy nose. I am not being rude to ask. I am being Your child. You know what I need before I speak. Help me come to You without holding back. Amen.
