New Mothers Prayer for December 3rd

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Lord Jesus, Your Word says there is no spot in me. I want to argue. I can list the spots. The lost temper at breakfast. The unloving thought at the coffee maker. The withheld kindness when my husband asked how I slept. The verse is not pretending the spots are not there. It is telling what Your blood has done with them. You see me without the spots, because they are on You. Send me into this morning under that old, strong covering. The spots are real. Your covering is bigger. In the only court that finally matters, there is no spot in me. Amen.
