New Mothers Prayer for December 1st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, the blanket is heavier now, and the baby has a small cold. Winter is starting outside the kitchen window. The light is shorter. The days are colder. You made the winter too. The same hand that made the warm months made the cold ones. Help me see that the cold is not a sign You have left. It is just another one of Your seasons. Walk me into December as Your child, not as a child whose Father has gone away. Keep the small flame burning in this room. Amen.
