New Mothers Prayer for November 21st

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, Your Word says do not grieve the Holy Spirit. I have done that this week in small ways. The sharp word to my husband. The eye-roll at my mother. The bad thought I held on to too long. Forgive me. Not with shame. With the gentle turn that brings me back to You. Thank You that even when I am tired and worn thin, You are still here. Help me let go of what I did wrong. Help me take the next small step in front of me. You do not leave. You stay. Let me turn to You and keep going. Amen.

How to pray it

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
