New Mothers Prayer for November 20th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, in Lamentations, You spoke through Jeremiah and said You have fought for my soul. Not that You might. Not that You will. You already have. The case is already settled in Your court. This week I have been trying to argue my own case to friends, to my husband, even to myself. I keep forgetting that You already decided in my favor. Let me rest from the small arguments. You did the pleading. Let me sit down as someone whose case is finished. Amen.
