New Mothers Prayer for November 19th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, so many of my questions are not deep. They are small and heavy all at once. Was that look from my mother-in-law a judgment, or just a look? Did my friend mean to ignore my text, or did she just forget? Should I have done bedtime differently? These questions burn up my time and give me nothing true. So this morning I set them down. The ones that do not matter, I let go. The ones that are real, I bring to You. This day is too short, and I am too tired to waste what little strength I have on fights that are not even real. Amen.
