New Mothers Prayer for November 17th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Paul ended his letter by saying, To You be glory forever. That is the one desire that never changes. Mine has been scattered today — for sleep, for help, for the baby to nap longer, for five minutes of quiet. Each of those is a real wish. They are not the center. Put my wants under Your bigger want. To You be glory. If You get glory through a hard morning, let the morning be hard. If You get glory through a small mercy, let the mercy come. The center holds. My scattered desires can rest under it. Amen.
