New Mothers Prayer for November 14th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, I have not been bowing to a foreign god this morning. But I have been hedging. Leaning on my phone for comfort and on You for peace. Leaning on the news to explain my worry and on You for real calm. Split loyalty is still loyalty broken. Forgive the small hedges. I am not trying to live two ways. I am just tired. Bring me back to one center. The center is You. Amen.

  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
