New Mothers Prayer for November 10th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You are my home, not this house. The house I am in this morning is full and small and tired and not quite mine. But You are the home that does not move when the furniture does. Let me dwell in You, not in this room. The room can be loud. You are quiet. Let my chest rest in You the way my body rests in a familiar chair at the end of the day. You are not a feeling I have to find. You are a place I can step into. I step in now. Amen.
