New Mothers Prayer for November 6th
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, You promised in Isaiah to pour water on the thirsty. I have been trying to fix my dry days by working harder. I checked off more verses. I made better routines. I tried stricter rules. But I cannot fix this dry place by myself. You pour. I receive. Let me come thirsty this morning, plainly, without trying to fix the dryness first to make myself ready for Your water. Pour. I am here with a small empty cup that has been empty for a long time. The water is Yours. The pouring is Yours. Let me simply drink. That is enough for me this morning. Amen.
