New Mothers Prayer for November 5th

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, You promised in Isaiah that no weapon formed against me will prosper. The weapons against me today are not big. They are small. The voice in my head that says I am failing. The comparison that runs while I am scrolling. The fear that something bad will happen to my baby. They are formed. But they do not get to win. Your promise is stronger than any of them. Hold me while I hold my child. Let me move through this day with that quiet shield. The weapons may rattle. They will not land where they were aiming. Amen.

  2. Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
  3. Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
