New Mothers Prayer for November 1st
A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.
The prayer
A prayer to pray now
Father, Your Word says that Paul greets the church in someone's home. That makes my house bigger than I usually see it. This is not just a place where we eat and sleep. It is a small church. The baby is its smallest member. My husband and I get to serve it with You. The dishes, the bathtime, the bedtime story — they all become small acts of worship. Let me see my home that way today. Not perfectly. Just enough to hold the morning with new eyes. The church in my house is in session. Help me lead it gently, and help me join in instead of trying to run it all alone. Amen.
How to pray it
- Read it slowly. Move through this prayer one line at a time, out loud if you can, letting each phrase land before the next.
- Make it personal. Pause where a line meets your day and name the person, fear, or hope it touches before God.
- Carry it with you. Keep one sentence with you — on your phone or in your pocket — and return to it when the day gets loud.
