New Mothers Prayer for October 31st

A short, Scripture-shaped new mothers prayer for an ordinary moment of Christian faith.

The prayer

A prayer to pray now

Father, in Psalm 51 David prayed, Renew a right spirit within me. The renewing is Yours to do. The asking is mine. I have drifted this week. Not into big sins, but small ones. A sharp thought. A cold word. A kindness I held back when I could have given it. My arms are heavy. My head is foggy. I am tired in places I did not know I could be tired. Renew my spirit. Not with a lecture. With the same Spirit who has been steady inside me through worse days. The drift is not the verdict. The renewal is Your work, and it is faster than my repair would be. Amen.
